Suspect in Custody

An arrest has been made in the homicide of 52-year-old Shane Phelan (Fay-Lynn), which occurred in the 100 block of Dahlia Street in the evening hours of October 9, 2019.

On February 27th, 2020, after agents with the Colorado Bureau of Investigation identified a suspect in the homicide, members of the Aurora Police Departments Fugitive Apprehension Team and Patrol section took the subject into custody.  Jharel Bobby Jones was arrested and charged with first degree murder, possession of a weapon by previous offender and pimping.
