The Weld County Motor Vehicle Department is responsible for vehicle registration, titling and issuing license plates.

Personal checks and cash are the only method of payment we accept. We currently do not accept credit cards. Also, a Colorado driver's license is required for all drivers who are residents of Colorado with current address. For information on Emissions testing call (970) 494-9808. As of January 1st 2007, all gas vehicles in Weld County do not need an emission test. Only Diesels still require emissions.
