Weld County covers an area of nearly 4,000 square miles in north central Colorado. It is bordered on the north by Wyoming and Nebraska and on the south by the Denver metropolitan area. Weld County is the third largest county in Colorado. Weld County's livability is just one of the features that make it a better place to be. Abundant Colorado sunshine, low humidity, cool, summer nights and mild winters provide a climate people appreciate. Weld County's cultural assets include Centennial Village, an authentic recreation of pioneer life on the Colorado plains. The Meeker Museum in Greeley is a national historic site. Fort Vasquez In southern Weld County has an exciting history as an early Colorado trading post.
